Postdoc (f/m/x) in the Inverse Problems and Mathematical Imaging Group  

(Parental leave replacement)

 (Full-time employee)

Your Tasks

For an initial period of six months, starting on June 1st, 2026.

 

The full-time position is affiliated with the "Inverse Problems and Mathematical Imaging" Group (led by Professor Otmar Scherzer) at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria. 

 

The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with researchers of the Medical University of Vienna on quantitative elastography. Computational skills and mathematical experience with models of nonlinear elasticity are beneficial. The design of practical experiences for microscopic and histological data should be brought forward.

Your Profile

  • Strong interests in Inverse Problems.
  • Expert knowledge in either one of the following topics Mathematical Modeling of Imaging Systems, Mathematical Tomography, Regularization Theory, Iterative Algorithms or Optimization is preferential.
  • Doctorate in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field is required.
  • English skills needed.
