Postdoc researcher (f/m/x)

to join the research activities of the Belle II group.
Ihr Aufgabenbereich
HEPHY has a long tradition of participating in various high energy physics and dark matter experiments, development of particle detectors and theoretical physics. Recently, new efforts dedicated to machine learning and the study of gravitational waves have started. Regarding Belle II, HEPHY plays a leading role in the operation of the Belle II Vertex Detector and in physics studies related to semi-leptonic and rare B decays, tau physics, dark sector and charm physics.
The positions will be funded as part of the principal investigator Project “Improved search for B+ -> K+ nu nubar” from the Austrian Science Fund under the grant agreement PAT 1823724.
- Work in the context of rare B decays at Belle II
- Search with an inclusive tagging approach the decay B+ -> K+ nunubar
- Contribute to the operation of the Belle II experiment
Ihr Profil
- A PhD degree in physics
- A creative approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset
- Documented experience in data analysis of high-energy physics experiments
- Previous experience with the Belle II experiment
