As a central non-university institution for science and research, the Austrian Academy of Sciences - OeAW has the task of "promoting science in every respect". Founded in 1847 as a learned society, it now has over 760 members and around 1,800 employees dedicated to innovative basic research, interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and the dissemination of new insights. Your Tasks
- Participation in and coordination of international comparative legal projects (research focus: Austrian and European Private Law, Tort Law, Comparative Law)
- Independent research
- English and/or German publications and research presentations
- Submission of applications for projects with the EU, FWF or other funding agencies
Your Profile

Completed master’s degree in law (preferably Austrian or German law), with above-average success

Very good knowledge of civil law and adjacent areas of law
- Interest in a dissertation project in the area of comparative tort law
- Excellent knowledge of both German and English (oral and written); further languages desirable

Experience abroad and/or ability to work in an international environment

High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work

Team player, organisational skills
