Postdoc (f/m/x) in Computional Methods for Partial Differential Equations 

 (Full-time employee)

Your Tasks

The full-time position is affiliated with the research group “Computational Methods for Partial Differential Equations” (led by Prof. Herbert Egger) at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria.

The successful candidate will work on numerical methods for shape and topology optimization, in particular in the context of electric machines. Close cooperation with the SFB F90 (CREATOR) are expected.

Your Profile

  • PhD in applied mathematics or computational engineering.
  • Strong background in the numerical solution of nonlinear systems arising in electromagnetics and computational design optimization. Finite element methods, numerical methods for nonlinear systems, optimization algorithms.
  • English skills are required.
